What Vail0 can see

We request one Google permission, gmail.modify, which gives us the ability to read and modify your Gmail messages and labels. When you click clear, your browser fetches a list of unread message IDs directly from Google and removes the UNREAD label from them. The free clear sees no email content, no subject lines, no sender information; the paid cleanup tools additionally read sender and mailing-list headers, on your screen only.
